If you made a purchase at a store that uses Squareup to process payments, you have a couple of options to retrieve your receipt
There are two main ways to get a receipt from Squareup, depending on whether you were the seller or the customer in the transaction.

For Customers:

If you made a purchase at a store that uses Squareup to process payments, you have a couple of options to retrieve your receipt:

Squareup Receipt Search: Squareup offers a receipt search tool specifically for customers. Visit https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/6737-receipt-search and enter the following information:

  • Transaction amount (as it appears on your bank statement)
  • Transaction date
  • Expiry date of the card used
  • Last four digits of the payment card number Click "Look up receipt" to view your web receipt.
Contact the Seller: If you didn't receive a receipt at the time of purchase or are unable to find it using the Squareup search, you can contact the seller directly. They should be able to access your transaction history and send you a copy of the receipt.

For Sellers:

If you are a seller who uses Squareup to process payments, you can easily access and resend receipts to your customers:

Square App: Open the Square app on your mobile device and navigate to "Transactions." Locate the specific transaction and tap on it. You'll see an option to "New Receipt" which allows you to send a digital copy to the customer's email address or phone number.

Square Dashboard: Log in to your Square Dashboard on a computer. Go to "Sales" and then "Transactions." Find the transaction and click on it. You'll have the option to "Print" or "Email" a receipt to your customer.
